Conferences
International SCBWI conferences are held bi-annually in Australia and Bologna, and annually in Los Angeles (August) and New York (February). All these conferences are professional and provide excellent networking opportunities and wonderful insights into what is happening in our industry. Please note that pre-registration is required for all conferences.
In Australia and New Zealand
In February 2008 the 2nd Biennial International Australia and New Zealand SCBWI conference was held at the Hughenden Hotel in Woollahra, Sydney and also in Western Australia. Julie Romeis, Editor at Chronicle Books was our invited keynote speaker at both events. She provided wonderful insight into the publishing scene in the USA and also her own publishing interests. Sydney was also thrilled to have the SCBWI Assistant Regional Advisor for Nevada and the New York Times #1 best seller Ellen Hopkins along with Stephen Mooser President for the SCBWI address delegates.
