Purpose of visit

To attend the second Asian Festival of Children's Content held at the Arts House Singapore and hosted by the National Book Development Council of Singapore.

Comments

This is the second year that the National Book Development Council of Singapore have organised the Asian Festival of Children's Content and this year the SCBWI presence grew.

Steve Mooser (President) gave a wonderfdkypeul opening keynote address reflecting on books and the changes over time amongst other things; there was a meeting of all the regional folks who were present and invited guests and there were even the traditional SCBWI "First Pages" sessions. It is delightful seeing the SCBWI expansion worlswide, including in Asia.

As well The President of Timor-Lests Jose Ramos Horta, gave the inaugural Singapore Children's Literature address and Bounder and Beaky were just tingling with excitement. They were so tingly to get their picture taken with the president but were thrilled to see both Steve and Christopher do so.
